Best Time to Visit Mali
The best time to visit Mali is generally during the cooler dry season, from November to February, when temperatures are more comfortable for exploring Bamako, the Niger River region, historic towns, and the country’s Sahelian landscapes. From March onwards, temperatures rise considerably, with April and May typically among the hottest months. The rainy season, mainly from June to September, brings greener landscapes but can make some overland travel more challenging.
